Airport boards on your TV
The display runs in a browser. The screen rotates between Bristol, Zurich, Nice, Bournemouth and Southampton every three minutes. Flight pages advance every 20 seconds; Bristol and Bournemouth refresh every 30 seconds and the other airports every three minutes. No airport software or API keys are needed on the PC.
- Connect the TV to the FlightSim PC (or Alien PC). In Windows Display settings, choose Extend these displays.
- Select the TV, choose 1920 × 1080 and Portrait (or Portrait flipped). The resulting desktop should be 1080 wide × 1920 high. Set Windows scale to 100%.
- Open https://bristol.sortie.aero in Edge or Chrome. Move that browser window onto the TV. Keep browser zoom at 100% (Ctrl+0).
- Move the mouse to reveal the display controls and select Full screen, or press F11. Press Esc or F11 to leave full screen.
- Use the TV’s Screen Fit / Just Scan / 1:1 picture setting if the outer edges are cut off. Disable PC sleep and the screen saver while the display is in use.
A separate window
Download the Windows launcher. Save it on the desktop and double-click it. It opens a separate Edge app window and uses its own browser profile so it stays separate from FlightSim browsing. If Edge is not installed, it opens your default browser.
Move the window to the TV and use your existing window-positioning setup. Popout Manager compatibility and the physical monitor position need checking on that PC; the board itself does not depend on MSFS or Popout Manager. For automatic startup, place a shortcut to the launcher in the Windows Startup folder (Win+R, then shell:startup).
Airport rotation
The default order is Bristol → Zurich → Nice → Bournemouth → Southampton, spending three minutes at each. Move the mouse to reveal Next airport and the airport selector. Select one airport to stay there, or choose Airport rotation to resume. Unavailable or stale feeds are skipped automatically.
For a permanent choice, bookmark Bristol only, Zurich only, Nice only Bournemouth only or Southampton only. You can customise the order and interval in the URL: Bristol, Zurich and Nice, three minutes each. The interval accepts 1–30 minutes.
If the connection drops
The board keeps the last received information and shows a warning. It retries automatically. After an hour without current information, flight rows are hidden. An amber update warning can also mean the airport snapshot has not changed; it is deliberately not labelled live.
About the information
The clock and flight times use the airport’s local timezone, including daylight-saving changes: UK time for Bristol/Bournemouth/Southampton, Swiss time for Zurich and French time for Nice. Nice supplies the current hour and the next three hours. Recent completed flights remain briefly. Dates are shown for next-day flights. “Check date” means the legacy source has conflicting date and status information; the display does not guess a correction.
This is an unofficial display of public airport information. “Airport source checked” is the time the public board was retrieved, not a guarantee that every flight status changed. For travel decisions, check the relevant airport and your airline.
